Vintage Pair of Finel Blue Enamel Domino Mugs / Cups by PaperSparks

A pair of Mid Century 1960s enamel mugs by Finel of Finland. These mugs are in the rare Domino pattern and were designed by Kaj Franck.

Finel is famous for producing quality enamelware. Mugs like these are becoming increasingly sought after and in turn harder to find, especially in as excellent condition as this pair.

Both mugs are in fine condition for their age. They have no dints and their enamel is still lovely and bright. There are a few minor imperfections : one mug (on the right in photo 2) has two tiny white dots on its enamel . The mug on the left of photo 3 has a few very small areas of enamel loss on the handle whereas the one on the right (see photo 3 again) has a small scratch just below the brim. These flaws are only noticeable on close inspection and as the enamel is a deep blue, it hides these imperfections well. The inside of each mug looks lovely, however one mug has a couple of tiny pinpoint dots of enamel loss (see photo 5). Both mugs have the Finel hallmark stamp on the base: Finel Made in Finland (photo 4).

Gorgeous Finel teapot from Arabia Finland, in a rather good used condition except for two ships on the lid and one on the body, yet it would need a good wash if you intend to use it as the inside is covered with scale which has darkened with tea.
Lovely flowers pattern by Kaj Franck, amazing turquoise color: a beautiful addition to a midcentury kitchen collection.

The plate is in very nice condition.

Hard to find ceramic nut dish designed by Lagardo Tackett for Schmid International. Tackett was the creative force behind Architectural Pottery and many of his designs were used to accessorize the famous Case Study houses; they were also showcased at the Museum of Modern Art in 1951.

This beautiful organic dish embodies the main principles of Tackett's design, where form and shape balance with function. Nut dish is in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks. There is an irregularity on the glaze inside the dish (see pictures). Wonderful speckled white and brown glaze on the outside.

Dish measures 2 1/2" in diameter at the bottom, 4 1/2" in diameter at its widest, 7" high. Marked with original sticker: "Tackett, Schmid, Japan"

Exceedingly rare bowl in excellent condition with only a couple only some nips on the inside rim and one hairline scratch as shown.Otherwise perfect, with a pristine outer rim, high gloss, and that gorgeous pattern.

Fantastic find for the discerning collector.

This listing is for 1 Finel mug. These are in excellent vintage condition with a flea bite here and there, but overall they are really in great shape. I am a huge fan on Finnish Enamel and these are one of my favorite finds so far. Serve mulled cider, tea, coffee or hot toddies in these. If you have open shelving in your kitchen these are a fantastic statement piece. They are gorgeous, collectible and functional. Love love love these!

A very well preserved Cathrineholm Coffee Pot with the famous lotus leaf pattern.
Grete Prytz Kittelsen made the design in the 1960s and Arne Clausen is said to have designed the lotus pattern.

The base colour of the coffee pot is dove blue / turquoise with white lotus leaves. The condition is very good. As you can see from the pictures both the inside and the outside is shiny and with no chips or rust. There is a weak dark line over one of the lotus leaves - see picture 3. The underside of the lid has a few "fleebites".

LaGardo Tackett (aka Tack) designed the "Everyone Loves Ice Cream and Candy" collection for Schmid International out of Boston, MA in 1960. This collection was designed as an ice cream and candy service that included white, lidded containers decorated with vertical stripes of festive colors.

For sale is the cake stand (with pedestal) in the blue/white combination with blue vertical stripes on the base.

It measures 10.5" wide, stands 5 1/4" tall, and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, stains, or crazing. There are 2 minuscule scratches on the top that are very hard to detect.

Think how great your cake would look atop this modern, classic design!

A beautiful modernist ceramic coffee or chocolate pot. This large coffee pot is white with a wood handle. It was designed by Kenji Fujita for Freeman Lederman in the 1950s.

Condition: In very good vintage condition. The only flaws seem to be underneath the lid. Both of the small semi-circle parts of the lid seem to have broken off. These parts were probably broken off when someone tried to lift the lid without turning it to the correct position. Not noticeable with lid on. Please note last image for detail of one the pieces that I am referring to. The teak of the handle seems a little dry but I will leave the conditioning to the buyer. Please note fourth image for wood condition.

Whimsical cup by Southern California ceramic artist Ron Scharf. A warrior figure expertly sketched over hand painted white glaze. I love how the red terracota peeks from under the wide white brushstrokes of the glaze. Great and difficult to find piece.

Cup is in good vintage condition with slight crazing to the gloss finish, it might be original to the piece. Cup measures 2 1/2" in diameter at the bottom, 3 3/4" in diameter at the top, 3 1/2" high. Signed "Ron Scharf 304"
