You are viewing a charming stylized pheasant figurine made in Poland during the 1950s or 1960s. This vintage piece was designed by Rok Nieznany. Measures about 7" L x 5.5" H and is in excellent condition with only a tiny barely noticeable scratch near the bottom. Marked "Cmielow Made in Poland C-125-474 37" on the bottom.
Cmielow was one of several Polish factories that produced designs from Poland's acclaimed Institute of Industrial Designing in the 1950s and 1960s. Other factories produced similar pieces from these designers: Bogucice, Chodziez, Wawel, Karolina and others.
These lovely porcelain figurines were seldom imported into the United States making them extremely rare here in the states.
