You are viewing a charming stylized figurine made in Poland during the 1960s. This vintage piece was designed by Mieczyslaw Naruszewicz in 1965. Measures about 3.5" H and is in excellent condition. Marked "Cmielow Made in Poland C-196-1243" on the bottom.
Cmielow was one of several Polish factories that produced designs from Poland's acclaimed Institute of Industrial Designing in the 1950s and 1960s. Other factories produced similar pieces from these designers: Bogucice, Chodziez, Wawel, and others.
These lovely porcelain figurines were seldom imported into the United States making them extremely rare here in the states.
