Arabia began producing ceramics in 1874 in Helsinki, Finland. They were the largest European producer of porcelain by the 1930s. Then in the 1940s Arabia hired designers Raija Uosikkinen, Esteri Tomula, and Kaj Franck. A large variety of goods featuring these artists were produced over the years.
Our little pitcher features a simply designed yellow kitty cat with a black bow on its tail. It's an absolutely wonderful little pattern and is perfect for any collector. The stamp on the bottom of our piece dates it between 1964-1971. There's also a "K - L- O" depression as shown in upper right of the fourth photo.
This piece is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks, or staining. It measures 4.25 inches tall, 3 3/8 inches across the top, and 4 1/8 inches in diameter around the widest part of the body. From the spout to back of handle is about 6.25 inches.
